Position Description:
The Network Engineer is responsible for managing projects and maintenance work on the network security and administration. He/She must have strong drive, excellent work ethics and a strong commitment to the team and company's success.

Position Requirements:
Position Requirements
1) Competencies: Skills, knowledge, & abilities
Functional Competencies:
? Cisco LAN/WAN Switching experience required
? Dynamic Routing experience required
? Advanced knowledge of Ecommerce networking, including security and redundancy
? Develop and improve monitoring utilizing existing tools and scripts
? Monitors performance of network and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks
? Diagnoses and resolves LAN/WAN problems
? Hands-on experience with hardware installation, upgrade, and maintenance of layer 2/3 devices
? IDS experience required.
? Familiar with Cisco FWSM configuration and has experience in firewall audit
? Familiar with Linux system.
? Skills with network management tools
? Ability to create details network diagrams
? Ability to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed
? Ability to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time accurately and effectively
? Ability to work in high-pressured but highly structured, customer oriented environment
? Play active role on crisis situations

Interpersonal Competencies:
? Escalate issues appropriately to manager
? Able to work in a team environment
? Good verbal and written communication skills
? Keeps tech lead informed of progress, issues, and changes.
? Communicate with business point person and PM’s as necessary

2) Experience:
? 4+ years Network Administration experience.
? Expert knowledge in Networking and Security fundamentals
? Have the experience with Nagios, Cacti, Cricket, these monitoring tools
? History of progressively complex project management experience
