Job Summary工作概述：
The Injection Mold Designer is responsible for designing high quality precision, multi-cavity injection mold tools, whilst supporting technical issues and tooling enhancements in a fast moving production environment. Responsible for providing tooling support for Toro owned tooling, outsourced tooling and assists in the procurement of new tooling.

II. Principal Responsibilities主要职责：
- Design molds, components, sub-assemblies, and full assemblies based on design standards, current steel manufacturing techniques, tolerances, and product design requirements.
- Interfaces with Engineering’s, outside Vendors and mold makers on all new mold designs, identifying parting line, shut offs and other moulding features. Implement engineering design changes into tool designs
- Determining best/most practical configuration of molding surfaces and mold mechanisms
- Advising part designers, and superiors, suitability of part design for molding
- Support production needs through enhancing and upgrading existing production tools for optimal output and quality. Provide problem solving and troubleshooting assistance.
- Provides accurate lead time and quotations on mold designs
- Work directly with purchasing, quality, engineering, and other necessary groups to develop products/solutions. Specifying/ordering mold materials and components
- Schedule tool design, fabrication, and development for new products as well as sustaining projects (eg capacity expansions, quality related projects)
- Adhere to all corporate engineering standards including but not limited to documentation and file management
- Assess and advance the development of domestic and international suppliers (including but not limited to molded part suppliers and steel fabrication suppliers)
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new CAD/CAM software and upgrades for engineering changes, tool upgrades and mold ability improvements.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area and abiding by all safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Able to interpret engineering blue prints, CAD.CAM systems, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

A. Work Experience工作经验:
- Minimum of five years hands on mold design experience of multi-cavity injection molding tools.
- Expert level of knowledge in plastics, engineering plastics and injection molding process.
- Mold making experience.
B. Education and Training教育与培训:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Tool design / Manufacturing
C. Skills技能
- Must be a self-starter
- Proficient English skills both verbal and written
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
- Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers
- Proficient in MS office applications (PowerPoint, excel, word, outlook)
- Knowledge of steel machining techniques, mold design, injection mold materials
- Experience in engineering design software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, PTC CREO, MASTER CAM, Mold Flow etc.)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional publications, technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and employees of the organization
- Proficient with the use of measurement equipment to include micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Demonstrate 2D and 3D file output / BOM’s / Safe tool operation.
- Tool layouts including cooling water, heaters, ejector systems etc. Mold material surface finish.
- Use Mold Fill data to change part / gate size etc.
- Knowledge of tooling standard for Europe, USA and China.
