Job Description
1.Centralized sourcing, qualification, introduction and release of complex mechatronic assemblies, suppliers, technologies and manufacturing processes with focus on preventive involvement already during development phase;
2.Advanced quality management measures in the design and qualification phases for complex mechatronic assemblies to ensure that the products meet the defined quality requirements, e.g. Make or Buy, Maturity Evaluation, SCR, Feasibility Commitment, APQP, Project Reviews, Run & Rate, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan etc.;
3.Work in international and multidisciplinary teams including e.g. Engineering, Project Management, Advanced Purchasing, BU and local SQM departments, Customer Quality, logistics, Category SQM and Purchasing departments;
4.Handover of released components to SQM departments in respective Continental locations for series production;
5.Functional responsibility for the defined parts and suppliers worldwide within the Category;
6.Implementation of a non-failure strategy;
7.Plan, initiate, implement and control the appropriate supplier quality assurance measures along the complete process chain in the make / market phase for mechatronic assemblies;
8.Responsibility for Supplier Improvement Programs within the Category, e.g. QIP, Q.BIC;
9.Preparation and perfoming management meeting with suppliers
10.Performing supplier visits, meetings and VDA6.3 audits with focus on introduction of new suppliers, locations and technologies;
11.Support on escalation topics, e.g. Red Alerts, Q.RAM;
12.Negotiation of quality contracts.

Job Requirements:
1.Extensive know-how in APQP and overmolded plastic assemblies, e.g. incl. bondable surfaces, pressfit pins, electronic components and related assembly and test technologies;
2.Ability to understand, discuss and align technical requirements with internal departments and suppliers with high focus on requirements engineering, e.g. based on drawings and specifications;
3.Analytic approach, self assured, ability to work under pressure, ability to convince others, result orientation, decision making ability, willingness to take responsibility, team spirit, negotiation skills;
4.High willingness to travel worldwide;
5.Auditor training, VDA 6.3 and ISO/TS knowledge;
6.Basic know-how in Project Management;
7.Quality skills, e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC;
8.Very good language skills for German and English;
9.Basic know-how for Microsoft Office and statistic tools, e.g. Minitab.
