Job Description & Responsibilities:
Job Duties:

• Sorting and entering daily news data;


• Record news data by operating data entry equipment; coding information; resolving processing problems;


• Respond to feedback from users by updating distribution lists and ensuring that all internal customers receive the information they want;


• Protects firm's value by keeping all information confidential;


• Ensure high quality and timely production of all deliverables;


• Over time, develop productive relationships with other teams (e.g. Research and BD) to ensure that content is rich and varied;


• Regularly refresh the web platform to ensure it maintains the interest of its target audience, e.g.: use tools such as scrolling news, trending topics, word clouds, top ten topics, etc; and


• With guidance from the PR team, maintain a low level marketing campaign that promotes the use of the platform to its target audience. Emphasise benefits over features.

Reporting structure & key relationships:
Report to the Manager in the team
Working closely with HK/CN Media team

Requirements:

Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications / Lotus Notes or similar client-server software;

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, show initiative and devise original solutions;

Ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English, ability to read both Simplified and Traditional Chinese;

Data Entry Skills, Typing, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Independence, Documentation Skills, Problem Solving, Dependability;

A creative approach to presenting data; and

Ability to work with different teams, using tact and patience in order to solicit information required.
