Descriptions,
-We are looking for a seasoned, passionate, competitive and self driven hotel sales professional with a proven successful track record in the corporate market.
-She/he will be responsible for soliciting and converting the Corporate Market to position the hotel to meet and exceed room and food & beverage revenue goals.
-Prospect new and existing accounts through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
-Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance. Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meeting as required.
-Re-imagine the sales process and work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers and execute memorable and successful meeting experiences.
-Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings. Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customer relationships.
Qualifications,
-High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
-3-5 years hotel corporate group sales experience preferred.
-The individual must have great communication skills, both verbal and written. Extensive knowledge of sales skills.
-Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi.
-Ability to assess/evaluate employees' performance fairly. Ability to supervise, train and counsel subordinates.
-Knowledge of hotel and competitive market. Ability to establish and execute appropriate action plans. Desire to promote a positive team environment.
