The incumbents are responsible for payroll accounting transactions and projects for the different businesses and entities inside of Wipro. You will work closely with HR and Consultant to provide accurate payroll data. At the higher levels you will interact with outside advisors, tax consulting companies, external auditors, and local governments (if required).

Responsibilities may include depending upon level:

? Process payroll (simulations, salary calculations) by consolidating all the inputs given by various divisions.
? Manage payroll related data and ensure accurate delivery
? Partner to identify legal changes / changes in corporate rules
? Post payroll activities (payments file to bank, print & distribute pay slips, etc.)
? Data entry of personal data changes (marital status, bank account, child birth, etc.) in Payroll books
? Administer the payroll function, develop and review payroll procedures, and make changes when necessary
? Administer Foreign Employees tax
? Account for salary cost in books of accounts.
? Prepare account reconciliation
? Performs clerical accounting duties within a defined scope under moderate supervision.
? Reconciles and posts transactions to the general ledger.
? Supports customer inquiries, typically without any escalation.
? Provides basic support to an assignment (e.g., implementing a new system)
? Interacts with internal customers on a global basis.


Education and Experience Required:
? Associates degree preferably in accounting, finance and commerce.
? Typically 1 to 5 years of work experience in a payroll function. Knowledge on both India / international payroll operations will be plus.


Knowledge and Skills Required:
? Good computation skills and ability to grasp things, quickly.
? Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Systems, Applications, Products.
o Should be very good in MS Excel.
o Knowledge of SAP HR & Payroll modules would be a plus.
? Fluency in English and good communication skills
? Good in local and foreign languages (Like Chinese, Japanese & Thai) will be added advantage
? Good understanding of accounting / payroll processes.
? Basic database skills.
? Good communication skills.
? Eye for detail and should be able to co-ordinate, effectively
