The SCM Specialist will assist in design, development, implementation and rollout of advanced planning and scheduling models in support of the Asia Pacific Momentive supply chain management processes. This includes model requirements definition, model construction with Momentive supported software packages, and support of key users/models. This position will include limited programming in other languages like ASPEN SCM (MIMI), SAP ABAP, SQL, and others as needed. Candidates should have the skills to perform the following partial list of duties:
Support the Aspentech SCM (MIMI) based Global Scheduling Models. Candidate would design, build, configure, test, debug, and maintain the various scheduling models. Training provided as required.
? Support Asia Pacific regional scheduling models. This requires the individual to become very familiar with the Advanced Scheduling Models, plant specific scheduling environments and the data work flows between the Advanced Scheduling and SAP.
? Updates and supports the reporting systems used to present the results of plans and schedules to the affected business functions.
? Documents and maintains process work flows and data work flows for the Demand Management, S&OP, Inventory Management and Advanced Scheduling processes.
? Requires experience with and use of the MRP tools within SAP.
? Requires basic understandings of SQL databases, internal structures, and standard SQL queries.
? Tracks their progress against a formal project plan and use a formal project methodology for larger projects.
? Be the technical leader on projects that are assigned to their region and/or business.
? Be a Mentor and help train junior team members.
? Member of on-call rotation.
? Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related field required.
? Education or work experience constructing or implementing solutions using LP, MIP, APS heuristics and algorithms is a bonus.
? Education or work experience with Scheduling models, Planning tools, or equivalent experience is required.
? Experience working independently and in a team environment is required.
? Education or experience in a related high level programming language.
? Education or experience in process modeling and problem solving using computers is required.
? Experience with ERP tools, specifically SAP and SAP business warehouse preferred.
? Strong Skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint.
? Education or experience in SQL and relational databases preferred.
? Requires good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
? Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, or other Asia Pacific language as a first or second language would be a bonus
? 10-25% travel will be required. Most travel will be within the region.
