职位描述
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Assist locations in area of responsibility, on understanding, deployment and ongoing continuous improvement of Lean manufacturing techniques.
Routinely Support other sites in the perimeter of responsibility
Report on progress and key issues to the VP of Manufacturing, regional BU management, and WW Lean Director
Routinely ensure Lean initiatives are progressing successfully and advise how to progress
If locations do not have a lean engineer, support local management by covering the role’s core responsibilities
Carry on best practice sharing cross China sites and Vesuvius globally.
? Manage the progress and development of lean engineers
? Set targets and define priorities for lean engineers; with plant managers
? Review progress, help achieve objectives
? Build and ensure implementation of training plan for members of the lean network
? Manage reporting for the region
? Ensure reporting of activities and progress is done in a timely and appropriate manner
? Report on progress and difficulties to the WW lean director
? Give added value feedback to management on the organization, processes, and management practices
? Contribute to the Lean network development
? Participate in hiring and evaluation processes
? Build and maintain succession plan, contribute to people review process
? Contribute to the lean deployment strategy for the region; support Senior Management’s reflections on the growth and renewal of the lean network
Contribute to projects
? Contribute to Greenfield and strategic projects
? Check development, implementation and editing of standards - audit status of plants
? Coordinate/facilitate cross-location or cross-functional projects
Participate in the construction of the Vesuvius set of Lean tools
? Participate in the selection of priorities for the deployment of Group Standards, Templates, Tools and Training Material
? Participate in the definition and update of Group Standards, Templates, Tools and Training Material
Participate in the development of the lean culture within the company
? Participate in the maintenance of the IT communication tools (databases, Horizon)
? Help identify and communicate on best practices
? Produce presentations and articles on selected topics
Qualifications:
? In-depth Knowledge of Lean Concepts and Techniques a must
? Proven Track Record in regards to Lean Implementation
? Commitment to Continuous Improvement
? Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
? Strong Ability to communicate at all levels of management
Experience (number of years, seniority level, and nature): Shop floor management in manufacturing environment with a supervisory and lean implementation experience
Expertise areas: Proven mastery of lean tools
Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:
? Clear practical and hands-on orientation
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge and ability to train on methodologies
? Strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of change management
? Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
? Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
? Proven ability to coach, mentor and energize team members
? Team player
? Continuous learning ability
? Ability to work in a highly multi-cultural environment
? Fluent in English
