Student Recruitment Manager or Specialist (Partners)
Based in Beijing or Guangzhou

North America, Higher Education Division

We are now seeking a high-calibre sales professional, looking to develop their career in a dynamic and successful education company. We are seeking a hungry, results-oriented individual who thrives on the challenge of meeting and exceeding targets.

The position will be based in Asia and will have a focus primarily on recruitment from our network of partner agents in the China region. The position will also involve providing support for and occasional travel to other recruitment
regions, as well as visits to the North American University and College partners.

This is an ideal position for a sales professional looking to move into international education, or an international education professional looking to transfer into a sales role. We are seeking mature, dynamic candidates who can
grow our recruitment of students through conversion of students, excellent relationships with our distribution networks, and the provision of high level training and support of their businesses.




Main duties:

Work closely with the Partners Team, as well as departments in the North American operating division in order to:

· Grow sales and achieve student recruitment targets through the established channels of partner education agents and feeder schools.

· Develop sales plans to deliver revenue, profit and student diversity targets

· Lead conversion activities including attendance at events and discussions with potential students and
their parents and offer compelling education advice and guidance

· Participate in target setting and negotiation with agent and feeder partners

  • Co-own the sales spend budget for the region providing input and monitoring of spend

· Lead planning and implementation of external training days, open days and familiarisation trips

· Train internal sales teams on programmes and destinations including entry requirements, visa requirements and programme capacity

· Represent Study Group at key promotional events

· Liaise between Study Group admissions team, our agency and feeder network and our campuses in North
America to ensure a high quality partnership, including resolution of enrolment and student service issues

· Gain and provide in-depth market knowledge on the North America international academic market

· Work with marketing team to drive "localisation“ of product materials

· Ensure efficient cost to serve and remote models of support

Essential Criteria:

· Experience in successfully planning and executing sales and marketing strategies, ideally through a channel partner distribution network

· Demonstrable ability to influence the customer’s buying behaviour

· Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong commercial and business acumen, including understanding a customer’s business drivers and
developing solutions in line with an organisation’s customer value proposition

· Ability to engage and collaborate with key people within a matrix and ‘virtual’ organisation, including ability to gain commitment from others for joint success

· Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrated ability to proactively and effectively work in a team environment

· Excellent technology skills including word, spread sheets, databases, internet and email

· Tertiary educated, preferably in North America

  • Fluency in both oral and written English

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of promoting educational services across Asia
  • Previous experience of recruiting for the tertiary university market

· Experience working in an international organisation

· Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system

· Fluency in one or more regional languages
