This position is based in Nanba, Dazhou City. Work schedule is 28 days on, 28 days off. Company will provide accommodations on days on. Transportation is to be provided from home location to Nanba. Salary is paid 12 month period. Please provide CV in English.

Key Job Responsibilities
1. Develops livelihood restoration strategies and action plans for resettled villagers in collaboration with CCOs, township governments, local government agencies and local communities;

2. Develops positive work relations with and obtains support from local CCOs, township governments and local communities for livelihood restoration and social investment activities;

3. Facilitates and manages the baseline surveys, community needs assessment, consultations, social impact assessment and outcome evaluation in project areas and resettlement areas;

4. Oversees the implementation of livelihood restoration plans with internal and external partners, and facilitates external monitoring visits and the required follow-up;

5. Plays a lead role in stakeholder engagement at the community, township, and county level by organizing meetings and events and representing Chevron interests and values;

6. Works with colleagues and the Business Affairs Manager to develop the CDB Stakeholder Engagement Plan, including a tracking mechanism and roll-out and follow-up process;

7. Works with Business Affairs Manager to manage social investment budgets and provides oversight of all Chevron’s donation to local communities;

8. Oversees planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation process of all community investment programs;

9. Works with communication specialist and colleagues in Beijing and Bangkok to promote activities both internally and externally.

Job Requirement:

1. Energy company business knowledge and/or experience working with/within a global organization.

2. Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).

3. The position requires successful experience in working with local governments, communities, and contractors, preferably within the context of an oil & gas or large scale construction project.

4. The successful candidate must have competent English language skills and experience working in a cross-cultural environment with non-Chinese colleagues and managers.

5. This position is field based, so the successful candidate must have experience living in shared accommodation for extended periods of time, and can expect to work long hours in remote locations under difficult conditions.
