Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Chengdu, China

Responsibilities:

Must have high level of understanding in the following areas:

• Determine sequence of inspection and functional testing operations on completed skin / major assemblies being guided by directives, blueprints, specifications and inspection procedure on first-run assemblies.
• Inspect or check layouts made from blueprints and sketches which establish exact locations and dimensions.
• Check installations and precision of mating and/or fitting part surfaces which have been based on these layouts for satisfactory workmanship, functioning, and completion.
• Use complex blueprints, production illustrations, sketches, and diagrams. Use arithmetic involving inches, decimals and fractions.
• Accepts / rejects detail parts, skins, sub-assemblies and major assemblies, generates nonconformance reports, interfaces with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Review Board and Liaison Engineering for any shop related matters.
• Provide daily and/or weekly status of acceptance and rejected work. Help develop/review corrective action plans and quality improvement plans to supplier.

Knowledge, Experience, Education Required:

Blueprint Reading

• In Process Fabrication Techniques
• First Article Inspection
• Airframe Inspection Process

Usage of inspection tools/gauges (ie 6” scale, calipers, micrometer’s, dial indicator, hole micrometers, read CMM reports Etc.)

Good English communication skills both written and oral

Vocational training and/or Airframe school with 3-5 years experience. This will include shop mathematics to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and Inspection procedures.
