What you'll get to do

LogicMonitor Software Development Engineers specify, design, prototype and implement the industry-leading SaaS-based datacenter monitoring solution that help customers to monitor hundreds of thousands of various devices. As a part of an agile development team, you will join developing core parts of this system as well as unit tests for features and components. You'll also need to troubleshoot related issues that happen in the production environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Distributed system development experience
• JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills
• Performance profiling experience
• Proven ability to excel as major contributor on an Agile development team
• Experience with Open Source alternatives for commercial tools
• SysAdmin experience on UNIX/Linux and Windows
• Datacenter infrastructure technology knowledge and its evolution

The Qualifications for this position

• BS/MS degree and 3+ years of commercial application development experience
• Expertise in Java or C/C++ and familiar with OOP/OOD
• Strong network programming skills and experience in developing distributed systems
• Excellence in communication and collaboration with other functional teams (Support Engineering, Tools, Product, etc.).
• Desire to be an impact player at a product-driven company committed to building great product

Following would be a plus!

• Development experience on multiple platforms, preferably Linux
• Strong understanding of web application architectures
• Strong database/SQL skills
• Script programming skills such as shell or perl
• Self-starter with tremendous initiative and work ethic
• Ability to embrace change
• Hard working, creative and critical thinking, initiative-takers preferred
