Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Develops and implements new manufacturing control technologies in support of PQA, equipment, and process introductions and improvements.

2. Develops and implements production monitoring systems for real-time control and visualization.

3. Identifies and implements manufacturing systems that link to IMS/PQA driven data requirements that help drive cost reductions, scrap reductions, and design improvements.

4. Responsible for developing and maintaining a set of standards for all manufacturing control systems.

5. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.

Education/Knowledge Requirement

1. Bachelor or Master’s degree of Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

2. Minimum of 5 years direct experience and working knowledge of in all or some of the following area: Equipment automation, PLC programming, Process Control and new process introduction, Quality control etc.

Experience/Skills/Competences

1. Strong background in equipment automation development or improvement, PLC programming, process line controls and instrumentation. PLC knowledge includes Siemens, Allen Bradley.

2. Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive systems and motion control. Drives include Siemens, Danfoss, Yaskawa, Magnetek, and Control Techniques.

3. Experience with Autocad drafting and design software.

4. Experience with project management tools including Microsoft Project, critical path analysis, work breakdown structure, and risk management.

5. Fluent Chinese Mandarin and English.
