Software Developer (C++) /Senior Software Developer (C++)


Job Description:

JAVRA Software China is seeking highly experienced Software Developers ready to make a long term commitment to an excellent career in Chengdu. You will work as part of our world class team developing software applications for international customers with the C++ platform. In addition you will have the opportunity to integrate other technologies with C++ applications.


Role and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

· Work cooperatively in a project-focused development team.

· Take the technical lead in your projects, including responsibility for other team members.

· Analyze requirements, create software/database designs, and architect solutions using formal methods.

· Assist Project Management in planning and estimation.

· Software Development using C++.

· Software testing.

· Plan and conduct code reviews.

· Mentor your colleagues in software development best practices.


Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor or Master Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Development (programming, etc).


You have the following experience and profile:

You are:

· Confident to communicate in written and spoken English.

· Motivated, innovative and ready to take responsibility and initiative in your work.

· Be able to break down development tasks and estimate them.

· Focused on writing reusable, reliable and readable code.


You have knowledge and experience with:

· Formal software design (e.g. Patterns, UML, MS Visio, ...)

· Database design and programming (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, ...)

· Software configuration management (e.g. CVS, SVN, VSS, ...)

· Planning and performing Code Reviews

· Unit testing


Background in any of the following is a bonus:

· Agile SDLC methodologies (e.g. Scrum, DSDM, eXtreme Programming)

· XML parsing, generation, schemas, DTDs

· Programming with Web Services

· Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

· JavaScript and Ajax

· Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, CMMi, etc).
