We are looking for a Product engineer for Drive Products Product Engineering & Quality department Products team.

Products team takes lifecycle ownership of the products that are under its responsibility. The team’s responsibilities include product quality improvements, master data maintenance, supplier quality control and cost reduction during products active life cycle. As a product engineer, you act as owner for our active products, being fully responsible for bringing superior customer experience to our customers. You are working in close cooperation with our end customers, Product management, R&D and suppliers, being based in Beijing.

Duties / Responsibilities

- Take the ownership of your products. Focus on improving customer experience, product quality & reliability and cost competitiveness

- Take the ownership of problem resolution with coordination of technicians, reliability engineer and other resources within Product Engineering & Quality department.

- Take the ownership of quality management, utilize systematic tools and process to manage product field quality, product production quality and supplier quality.

- Take responsibility of product cost, coordinate with SCM and other functions to cut cost by localization and multiple source development.

- Lead the component availability mitigation actions such as alternative resources qualification and design modification if necessary, support the qualification test

- Propose and implement quality design corrective actions and lead ECN releasing and implementation into production

- Organize and maintain product master data, including BOM, drawings and test specifications etc.

- Collaborate with R&D in new product development.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in Power Electronics, Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering is preferred.

- Strong product engineering or R&D background, deep understanding of AC Drive technology and PLC (No brand limitation)

- Understanding PLC application and quality issue resolution is preferred

- Strong experience of product life cycle management

- Experience of quality management methods and tools

- Capability of systematic problem solving

- Experience of testing and qualification of AC drives according to internal and external requirements

- Familiar with the electrical measurement equipment

- Good communication and negotiation skills

- Strong ownership sense and proactive attitude

- Excellent English and Chinese communication skills

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, few weeks per year

Working Experience Required

- Minimum 5 years
