职位描述
Purpose of the position
1. To identify, pursue and gain new business opportunities within the industrial segments, and lead “gas application solution sales”
2. To provide Application Technology (AT) support to area sales to assist winning new business, and increase/improve revenue and profitability
3. To provide training to area sales of AT know how, so to steadily improve AT knowledge of area sales team
4. Cultivate market perception of Linde as the most technically competent industrial gas supplier to the segments
Principal responsibilities
Project development
1. Identifies project opportunities based upon a detailed knowledge of customer processes and the relevance of available products and technical solutions in line with market strategy.
2. Develop process designs for customised, technical solutions and terms for process guarantees.
3. Undertake customer surveys as necessary and work with other parts of the Sales & Marketing organization to develop plans to address key technical gaps in current product offerings. Conduct process trials at the China Lab or customer sites to confirm process and equipment suitability.
4. Implement defined development projects through to ready-for-market status (in co-operation with partners).
5. Prepare reports on Surveys and process trials to form part of the process validation and guarantee of suitability for all future offerings to the customer.
6. Maintain communications & network with external industrial bodies and universities.
Customer support
1. Work with customers in support of the sales teams throughout RGC in the focus area.
2. Provides application technology know how & support to the area sales team.
3. Creates performance specifications.
4. Support the key customer sales and area sales teams with expert technical knowledge to develop and grow new technically driven business; improve profitability/EBITDA; and protect the existing customer base within the sector.
5. Provide support for specific market strategies in the sector, including the provision of safety and operational training and application support.
Required qualifications/experience
ESSENTIAL
1. Bachelor or above degree in Glass discipline
2. Working experience in a glass design institute or furnace supplier is a plus
3. Typically 5+ years industrial (or application development or technical sales) experience
4. Proven tract record in technology support and development
5. Recognized as a competent specialist within the industry
6. Willingness to travel extensively (most weeks)
7. A reasonable level of written and spoken English
