Chengdu Linked Project Manager
The Project Manager will be lead logistic team in an international school. He/she reports to and is supervised by the Guangzhou Head office general manager and responsible for the coordination and successful functioning of the non-educational aspects of the school. Initially, the project manager will be solely responsible for the functioning of many areas, such as school canteen, HR, facilities, and operations. As departments and staff are added in future years as the company grows, the project manager’s work functions will be reallocated appropriately. The successful candidate is flexible in nature and able to respond to an ever-evolving environment as the school is established.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 3 years of experience in related administrative work (Catering service background is preferred or school-based experience is a plus)
- Bilingual in both English and Mandarin, with strong 2-way translations skills

Primary Responsibilities
1. Communication
- Build relationships with school, coordinating and facilitating work such as events preparation and supporting etc., ensuring positive collaboration
- Manage government communications, government routine inspection, policy alerts translation and ensuring school heads and related office staffs are well informed on such items
- Coordinate and facilitate communications between all parties, providing translation as needed
- Assist in ensuring Chengdu Linked has a strategic communication framework and consistent approach for marketing and communicating to schools, community (parents)
- Advance the interests of Linked in communications with the local community and other international school network
2. Operations and Facilities
- Supervise the Food & Beverage department to ensure the routine daily operation is carried out in an orderly manner and follow government instruction, such as facilities, hardware and software management/upgrade and maintenance, food supply, food safety control etc.
- Implement the business target issued by the head office, build the operation data platform, accumulate the daily operation quantitative data, and provide data support for the follow-up development
- According to the school demand, grasp the direction of catering service, constantly optimize the operation management and strategy, control the operation cost and build a scientific and quantified catering operation management system and training system, including the establishment of service standards, the establishment of service processes and the formulation of performance assessment methods
- Identify and arrange favorable contracts with local vendors for services required, and maintain strong relationships with local vendors (bus, uniforms, canteen)
- Maintain office and consumable supplies and equipment, supervise supply orders
- Supervise all logistic departments to ensure school campus is properly maintained, arrange for necessary repairs and improvements
- In conjunction with finance personnel, ensure Chengdu Linked expenditures are properly recorded and the expenditures are within budget
- Ensure both Linked, relevant School SPGS, and Education Bureau policies or other government department’s regulations are properly observed
- Maintain Linked and School master calendars, book and manage appointments and events
3. Human Resources
- Supervise the HR office staff in HR tasks such as recruiting, hiring, interviewing, orientation, training, and work
- Manage and evaluate the local administrative / non-educational staff, following Linked’s evaluation protocol and ensuring all work goals are favorably met
- Arrange or direct HR staff with team-building expeditions, care packages, holiday celebrations, birthday wishes, etc. for staff members
4. Perform all other duties as designated by the Head office general manager and his/her assignee
