Job Description:
Work on a dynamic R&D team with focus on bringing new ideas and technologies to the modular instrumentation market, the successful candidate will work closely with R&D teams in the USA and other countries worldwide. He/she will work using the latest tools and methodologies for SW development. The major responsibilities will include:
- Focused on development, debugging & support of software running in windows environment. As a member of the scrum team, will be expected to ensure the successful development of roadmap features, resolution of technical issues from initial analysis through to implementing fix in code.
- Working to design and prototype innovative new features on existing HW platforms.
- Interact with teams abroad and learn to the latest SW development tools and practices.
- Developing new algorithms/methodologies to enable advanced RF & microwave measurement features.
- Creating and managing work breakdown structure to ensure all software/firmware deliverables are aligned with project milestones and able to complete on time.
- Working with other R&D and NPI functions to collaborate effectively in delivering complex features and solving complicated defects.
- Contributing to software/firmware process improvements to ensure high level quality and time-to-market.
- Willing to learn and share technical knowledge via technical submission and presentation, strong desire to pursue the career path in software/firmware development.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master/PhD Degree in Communication Engineer, or Measurement & Control Technology and Instrumentation, Computer Science or related degree with good knowledge in electrical/electronic hardware system.
- Must have 5+ years of solid experience in software engineering.
- Must be a proficient programmer with experience in architecting and implementing high quality, complicated software (C/C++ is required, C# is desirable).
- Familiarity with Agile software development.
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex software/firmware assignments using in-depth technical knowledge and experience to influence results. Able to support multiple parallel tasks.
- Good English knowledge, both speech and writing because the candidate will engage with global counterparts very frequently.
- Good team-work spirit.
Preferred:
- Scrum agile software development process background.
- RF/uW background, or with RF component, RF System design experience is preferred.
- Knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering, i.e. local oscillator, controller, digital/analog converters, RF microware, digital signal processing, etc. is important.
- Experience with equipment such as signal analyzer, signal generator, power meter/sensor, etc.
