Position Objective:

The candidate will roll under the Business Strategy and Planning team of the start-up joint venture between American Express and LianLian, a local Fin Tech company with the business goal to secure the domestic clearing & settlement license to operationalize an open network business in China by 2020.

 

The position will support the team and his/her leaders to handle a broad range of complex business and management challenges, anticipating and addressing roadblocks and risks, as well as internal & external communications to influent stakeholders for business decisions.  

Job Description:

Responsible for supporting the Business Planning team to work with the CEO and the Country Executive Team on developing, coordinating and executing key strategic initiatives for the Joint Venture, and managing all aspects of the business planning related needs:

 

Strategic planning and deployment

？ Generate insight and work with the team to develop the corporate strategy to achieve the business target in a fast-changing and complicated industrial dynamic by conducting market research, internal & external discussion and other required approaches

？ Monitor the latest market trend and key competitor new initiatives and generate report about implication and potential game-plan for EC to ride the trend and defend EC position on a timely basis

？ Drive the implementation of the key strategic initiatives through CPMO perspective to coordinate cross functional collaboration, track the progression of key milestone, escalate the issues and risk to leadership with mitigation plan for review and decision

？ Enable and provide clear and concise communications on strategic topics to senior leadership

 

Stakeholder management

？ Conduct regular meeting cadence with Lianlian to further study the potential collaboration opportunities and update for CET on a timely basis

？ Arrange timely discussion with EC cross functional team to understand any potential thought from functional team which may have implication for EC strategy

？ Support and thought leadership across different functions within EC regarding strategic decision making

Requirements:

 

Experience:

？ 6+ years working experience in network business or payment industry with experience in business strategy or planning department would be a plus

Core skills:

？ Thought leadership and solid business acumen

？ Exceptional planning, project management and follow-through skills with detail orientation in the business planning process

？ A self-starter with high resilience & accountability & the ability to work well under pressure and tight timeline, adapt to changing circumstances and juggle multiple priorities

？ Possess strong interpersonal awareness and communication/articulation skills

？ Good oral and written skills in English

Education:

？ Bachelor’s degree or above
