Job Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for overall delivery of data network and voice services. Provide management of network operations across multiple technology domains (Voice, Video, Data, Call Center, and network applications). This includes tracking of network performance and capacity as well as making recommendations to improve site health.

• Drive standards across the network and ensure fully compliant to the standards and policies.

• Utilize advanced analytics for continuous improvement and ensure best in class network performance through proactive and predictive network monitoring and controls. This includes management of the operational technologies, tools, metrics, and processes required to support the network domain. Track network performance and capacity and make recommendations. Provide input for operational metrics and dashboards.

• Drive quality into the metrics to assist in focusing on the areas that give the best ROI. This includes measurement of our issues, network capacity, vendor equipment/failures analysis and network performance, as well as continual assessment of the quality and effectiveness of network monitoring and alarming.

• Responsible for operational availability of the China network, review and approve network changes. Additionally, on occasion need to develop a detailed, low-level understanding of network issues that do occur and to be able to represent those issues at operational management review meetings

• Engage as the design partner with related teams to define requirements, then help build, test, and introduce new products, services, and tools into the network. Closely partner with engineering and deployment teams to ensure of feedback and input of regional specific requirements. Participate in pilots, experiments, and provide input for design considerations.

• Own all facets of network performance. Expected to manage external vendors and provide both technical and soft skill supervise to maintain a well-rounded, world-class network. This includes project management, quality audits and coordination of training sessions as well as day-to-day oversight of the team.

• Develop and improve incident and change management within the Networking space. Responsibilities include driving initiatives regarding improvements to existing tools & processes and providing feedback on new practices & procedures to scale with the rapid expansion of the technology platform and customer base.

• Oversee and coordinate network Pri1’s and critical issues to ensure restoring service as quickly and efficiently as possible. Ensure Incident Management is achieving the goal of fast and efficient restoration of services. Receives escalations and manages issues.

• Involved in developing automation, as well as setting automation teams' roadmap, based upon analyzing and identifying significant opportunities where automation can tackle volume, systemic, or critical operational issues.

 

Experiences and Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree

• At least 8 years’ equivalent experience in a large-scale enterprise environment

• Extensive hands-on experiences and skillsets in network technologies.

• Must have a high degree of organization and be very detail-oriented.

• Must be able to interact with and influence people at all levels and have excellent public speaking skills.

• Must have the ability to contribute to and support long-term visions and direction regarding Networking in China.

• Experience in building and managing a team of strong technical people, and prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team is crucial to success.

• Experience with analyzing operational processes and network events to identify and implement improvements is critical to success.

• Experience with developing software and/or automation through a sprint-based Software Development Life Cycle is critical to success.

• The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence, including coordinating and driving issues to resolution autonomously utilizing excellent judgment skills.

• The following qualifications will be a plus: CCIE.
