Roles and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Defines the technological strategy with the development team of each project: pipeline, tools, and key development procedures.
- Assesses technical risk and mitigation plan.
- Establishes standards and procedures to track and measure the technical excellence progression.
- Evaluates development team(s), identifying strengths, problem areas, and developing plans for improving performance.
- Researches and evaluates new technology and tools as opportunities for innovation and development excellence.
- Oversees technical design documentation process for not only correctness but also reviews the design for further improvement.
- Performs code reviews and technical performance review for teams and products developed.
- Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
- Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Helps Project Managers, Team Managers and Team leaders to execute and improve software engineering practices.
- Manages technical Team Managers and leaders in executing their regular duties.
- Evaluates interview candidates for technical positions and provide input during reviews of the subordinates.
- Capacity development and coaching of software developers.
- Reporting on regular technical resource usages.
- Regular Resource planning of the technical team.
- Identify the need of resources and suggest for hiring.
You have the following experience and profile:
- Possess the highest level of technical competence and may be recognized as an expert in the organization.
- Develop a team of highly qualified developers to ensure delivery of superior technical solutions that meet client needs.
- Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
- Ability to perform or act as technical consultant/ advisor to key customer accounts and prospects would be advantageous.
- Provide technical direction on business decisions and in the execution of specific projects.
- Be responsible for making key software design and implementation decisions with the development teams; and guaranteeing quality of deliveries; and educating the team on technical best practices.
- Oversea work or study experience will be a plus.
- Chinese or others nationalities are acceptable.
- Any 2 or more following expertises are preferred:
Mobile apps development, Data warehouse, SAP BO/BI, HTML/Web design, PHP/Magento, ERP and/or CRM, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in IT field, and 3+ years of experience as a technical manager.
- Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred), technical background, with solid experience writing accessories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent teamwork skills, Strong personality and communicator.
- Structured, excellent presentation, organization and analytical planning skills.
- Willingness to travel abroad.
