Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

The Lead C&I Engineer’s main responsibilities are:

? Review Client technical requirements and ensure these are incorporated in EPC Contractor’s project related specifications and design drawings.

? Review project deliverables including:-

o C&I procedures

o Technical specifications

o Conceptual design

o Data sheets

o P&IDs

o Purchase requisitions

o Hazardous area drawings

? Coordinate C&I related issues with the other disciplines.

? Ensure overall quality of the C&I design by performing regular reviews.

? Participate in formal 3D plant model reviews.

? Apply knowledge/skills to a range of activities; act as a technical resource to others in own area and to colleagues with less experience

? Understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard requests.

Typical background and experience required:

An experienced Lead C&I Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience including design office and site experience gained with an EPC Contractor.

Must have:

? C&I Engineering leadership experience on large EPC projects

? Must be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the oil & gas and petrochemical industries

? Must have a high level of knowledge and experience in the design and site testing of DCS and ESD systems and be able to demonstrate experience of field equipment installation and overall loop testing and handover procedures

? Ability to apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and non-standard situations. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.

? Capable of explaining difficult concepts and able to persuade others to adopt a point of view. Able to motivate other team members.

? A relevant engineering degree from an accredited university

Nice to have:

? Chartered Engineer

? C&I Engineering leadership experience of PMC projects

? Good knowledge of Intergraph Smart Plant Instrumentation
