This R&D engineer job will be working with the system level calibration team in our Keysight Global Services Organization (KGSO) engineering group. As a 5G solution architect, you will be responsible for designing performance verification solutions for 5G testing systems.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design system level calibration and performance verification procedures based on understanding of Keysight wireless communication measurement systems, customer applications and industrial standard specifications.

• Coordinate with KGSO regions, service portfolio practices and customer engagement teams on solution deployment and customization.

• Optimize the procedures with the aim of reducing customers’ testing time and cost without compromising measurement quality, accuracy or traceability.

• Provide evaluation on technical feasibility, engineering resource and R&D schedule for project planning and management.

• Engage with Keysight industrial solution teams and other functions for ongoing technical collaboration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in electronic engineering, telecommunication or other relevant science and engineering disciplines.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with emphasis on 4G/5G UE or base station testing system design and implementation.

• Familiar with 4G/5G standards and protocols, wireless product design and testing, system integration, performance verification, and/or field testing.

• Technical project management capability such as resource and schedule planning.

• Demonstrated customer communication capability in English.

• Proactive learner with a positive “can do” attitude.

PREFERRED:

• Hands-on experiences with operation, programming and calibration of test and measurement equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Vector Signal Generators, Signal Analyzers, etc.

• Experience with Matlab and Simulink.

• Knowledge with metrology standards, measurement uncertainty estimation, calibration lab activities.

• Remote team communication experiences.
