Key Accountabilities

Purchasing, Inventory Control and Supplier Management

Process purchase orders for stock replenishment.
Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct time for purchasing
Process purchase orders for customer orders.
Ensure purchase order consolidation to select suppliers
Follow up overdue purchase orders.
Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and report irregular dealings timorously.
Continuously monitor supplier performance and conduct regular scheduled review meetings, in conjunction with Product Manager
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers in cooperation with respective Product Managers (the final responsibility for contracts with Vendors is at Product Managers)
Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented and managed in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure inventory turnover and stock usage in line with company policy.

Accounts payable

Negotiate the payment term with the suppliers in cooperation with respective Product Managers (the final responsibility for contracts with Vendors is at Product Managers)
Process supplier invoices as required
Process supplier credit claims as required.
Process supplier payments as required. Ensure overall A/P days are in line with companies targets
Log and report late payments to suppliers monthly.
Coordinate with Finance department on urgent payments

Administration

Aggregate and distribute relevant reports and statistics monthly
Process external and internal mail.
Process orders for Indirect Material
File, maintain and dispose of documents.

Adhere to the following

Company policies and procedures
Quality Management System
HSE guidelines and policies
Company Code of Conduct
IT policies

Housekeeping and hazard reporting

Other tasks/project as assigned by management


Experience / Background

4-5 years experience in related filed acting as buyer/planner
Experience as key user for at least one leading ERP system (SAP...)
Preference with over 3 years in a procurement manager position
Industrial and/or Electrical distribution experience
University graduated
CET 6
