Location: Beijing, Shenzhen, China
Reports to: China Sales Manager
Position Overview
The company is an international designer and manufacturer of high-precision, miniature electromechanical components sold to analytical, scientific and medical instrument original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and end users. The Sales Engineers will have the opportunity to develop and grow business in South China and North China. All members of the team are expected to do what is necessary to make the company successful.
Responsibilities
1. Sell company products and services directly to medical, analytical and scientific OEMs
2. Develop new customers through various methods including customer visits, industry trade shows and industry literature and websites
3. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through active account management, regular visits and communication
4. Develop, maintain and qualify a pipeline of new projects
5. Work closely with customers to help meet their needs with the Company's products and services; clearly communicate customer-specific fluid system design criteria to the engineering team
6. Actively and effectively leverage and engage the Company's engineering and production teams to deliver the best solution for the customer on time, every time
7. Vigorously advocate for the customers' needs during internal company engineering and production resource allocation and prioritization
8. As necessary, coordinate, promote and support communications between the customer and the Company's internal departments (e.g. engineering, production, customer service) to resolve issues
9. Develop pricing and delivery terms for customers
10. Negotiate and close transactions with customers in a timely manner
11. Closely track and periodically report on progress of new and existing projects
12. Assist in developing marketing materials for the Company's products
13. Assist in gathering market information for input on new products and services
14. Assist in managing China and Asia sales distribution network
Requirements / Experience
1. 5 to 7 years experience selling technical products to OEMs
2. 4 year technical university degree - preferably engineering or science
3. Prefer 3+ years experience selling related fluid control components to OEMs
4. Familiarity with analytical and scientific instrumentation is a plus
5. Proven success in identifying, qualifying and building a book of business in China
6. Self-starter; high-energy; goal oriented; good organizational skills
7. Distribution sales channel management experience is useful
8. Fluent in English - spoken and written
9. Travel as necessary to be successful, but expectation should be in excess of 50%
10. Availability to travel to the United States and Europe for training for up to 3 months
11. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
