As a New Product Development Sourcing Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Drives (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

1.Lead / Execute the following tasks:
a) Category responsibility of Power electronics component.
b) Should cost calculation method development.
c) All NPD projects competitive designs Sourcing up to Gate 6, based on global category strategy.
d) Selected NPD projects Sourcing responsibility.
e) Selected NPD project SCM Gate assessor.
f) NPD projects technical/technology meetings with Suppliers.
g) Support NPD Designers for Total Cost Optimization and design to cost.
h) NPD RFQs and negotiations with Suppliers in alignment with BU/LBU category management.
i) Technology Sourcing.
j) Should cost analysis together with NPD before Gate 2.
k) Multiple source policy implementation during NPD.
l) Optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) having selection criteria calculations ready until Gate 3.
m) MQDC projects planning and implementation with the team.
n) Coordinating with NPD and Sourcing teams and ensure target schedule.

？ MSc / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
？ Demonstrated experience and successful results in Sourcing, R&D or product engineering.
？ Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and strong analytical skills.
？ Wide technical & commercial knowledge.
？ Dynamic, broad minded, result oriented personality and self reliant.
？ Proficient in SAP, SCMIS, ASCC, Excel, PowerPoint and all standard MS Windows programs.
？ Fluent in English.
