Essential Functions:

• Assists the engineering team in the accomplishment of both team and individual objectives

• Tests individual components and systems at various stages in development

• Creates tests plans as needed, and executes test plans created by others

• Assists in the identification and resolution of current-product issues and problems

• Builds and debugs prototype hardware, with assistant from the engineers

• Locates and recommends suppliers and vendors for various components, test systems, and development tools

• Travels to customer sites for various stages of system test

Other Non-Essential Functions:

? Assists production as needed, occasionally participating in builds, reworks, etc

? Other duties as assigned

? Handles most departmental acquisitions of equipment, tools, engineering samples, etc.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

? Bachelor degree or 3 years college degree in Electronics engineering and technology disciplines

? 0-2 years related experience in packaging or ink jet / Laser or any other kind of product marking industries is the plus

? Knowledge of a variety of test and measurement equipment such as environmental chambers, DVM's, power supplies, micrometers, signal generators would be preferred

? The ability to read and comprehend schematics, engineering drawings, theory of operation, specification sheets and other technical information required to perform the assigned task work
