Job Title: Lab Automation Engineer (NCG)
Location: Beijing/Shanghai
Lab Automation team at Texas Instruments is a highly motivated and co-operative group, which is dedicated to helping TI-internal customers deploy highly effective, scalable automated lab methodology. Texas Instruments has standardized on a best-in-class, enterprise level, lab automation infrastructure built around National Instruments LabVIEW and Teststand. It is deployed into R&D centers around the world where it plays a crucial role in the product development cycle by automating all aspects of the lab activity surrounding very cutting-edge technology. As a Lab Automation Engineer you will get a chance to work with some very senior architects in this domain so the technical ramp-up opportunities are significant. This role is an excellent entry-level position for the right candidate to get very broad exposure inside TI across a large number of R&D centers and get introduced to world-class technologies and innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related major.
· High ability to learn and understand new knowledge and technology.
· Strong interest in playing key role in an R&D Lab environment.
· Passion for solving complex, real world lab problems using tools like LabVIEW and Teststand from National Instruments
· Outstanding ability to be self-driven and attain goals under pressure, with positive attitude.
· Excellent communication and people skills are crucial including strong English for working with worldwide team.
Some of Responsibilities (all training provided):
· Become expert in lab automation tools and methodology
· Deploy, train and support a world-class enterprise lab automation infrastructure.
· Very quick study the details of requirement from TI-internal customer to offer up the best automation strategy.
· Develop and provide automation solutions to our customer, based on lab automation infrastructure components and Tools.
· Implement an efficient and effective training program to help our customers to be as self-sufficient as possible over a short period of time.
· Work with the worldwide Lab Automation team within TI to direct the constant innovation and evolution surrounding the automation infrastructure.
