Role Purpose:
To proactively drive an effective risk management culture within ANZGSO Chengdu Hub to effectively discharge local, and Group risk management responsibilities encompassing Operational Risk, Compliance and Quality Assurance activities.

Financial:
· In conjunction with the leadership team, establish and document the risk appetite for ANZ GSO Chengdu incorporating appropriate thresholds and tolerances aligned with ANZ Group risk appetite
· Ensure compliance with reporting and escalation processes in accordance with the new Operational Risk Measurement and Management Framework and ANZ compliance Framework
· Ensure actual/potential operational losses are treated in accordance with the new Operational Risk Measurement and Management Framework and that "loss owners" are effectively managing loss incidents including remediation of gaps and consequence management.
· Act as the Risk Management Forum Secretary ensuring that the Risk Management Forum pack is consolidated on a monthly basis and that RMF meetings are scheduled in advance and minutes are taken and circulated for each RMF meeting.

Customer:
· Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key business and risk stakeholders to assist in more proactive and consistent improvement in risk management across the Chengdu Hub.
· Build strong professional relationships with the Regulator, Audit and with relevant departments and ensure that a framework for regulatory communication is documented identifying authorised individuals and communication processes.
· Act as the subject matter expert in relation to risk profile and compliance related concerns.

Process:
· Provide active management and implementation of the new Operational Risk Measurement and Management Framework and the ANZ Compliance Framework, including application of risk appetite metrics, alignment of risk policies, and integration into business strategies.
· Active management of the Quality Assurance function within the Chengdu Hub operations. Ensure that a robust annual QA plan is developed to make sure that testing is performed periodically.
· Evaluate and approve transition methodology documents and applications for exemptions to established policies like the level security procedures,
· Management and oversight of Business Continuity Management for the Chengdu Hub as well as oversight of the Investigations and Fraud Risk Management for the Manila Hub
· Manage the regulatory calendar and regulatory submissions

People:
· Provide support and guidance to the Chengdu Hub to embed a culture of responsibility for ongoing risk & compliance at all levels of the business to achieve better governance
· Lead by example by displaying and encouraging behaviours essential to the delivery of a strong risk culture.
· Provide staff, managers and supervisors with instructional guidance when adverse QA results are detected to assist them with rectifying any procedural gaps or policy or regulatory non-compliance.
