Job Description

At the Power tools division of Bosch in Shanghai we are currently looking for an outstanding design researcher that will lead teams to discover and translate user needs into fascinating innovations which will improve the quality of tradesmen’s work and life around the world.

WHAT?

？

You will help to grow the newly established interdisciplinary user experience design team at Bosch Power tools Shanghai.

？

In your role you will lead the various product teams in planning research activities, preparing necessary artefacts, e.g. screener & interview guidelines, executing international field work, and then synthesizing actionable insights and support ideation and integration of concepts into the teams’ innovation pipeline.

？

You will use your strong communication skills to ensure the research lives on throughout the entire design process remains user-centered from start to finish.

？

Furthermore, you will assist in building organizational structures and practices that enable a culture of curiosity and innovation to grow.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

·？？？？？？ University degree in a design research relevant field and 2-4 years of qualitative research experience in diverse industries (preferably agency background)

·？？？？？？ Fluent in Mandarin and English! – This is mandatory!

·？？？？？？ Sound understanding of research process from desktop research to fieldwork to synthesis and beyond

·？？？？？？ Strong moderation skills to lead teams throughout the fuzzy front end of innovation

·？？？？？？ Ability to efficiently synthesize research findings that guide the design process

·？？？？？？ Ability to confidently switch between languages to communicate research insights in varying degrees of depth

·？？？？？？ Ability to manage external partners conducting quantitative research

·？？？？？？ Ability to inspire teams to make them discover the unseen
