GSS IT Shanghai is operating the DW/BI systems and Veracity Open Data Platform. We have the responsibility of developing data warehouse and business intelligence solutions and utilize Microsoft Azure Cloud to build up hybrid solutions for Veracity Open Data Platform. The business intelligence team in Shanghai is strategically chosen by DNV GL to have capability for operating and developing DNV GL business intelligence. The business intelligence is covering a wide range of both businesses and data warehouse techniques. We need you as a new team player to meet the increasing need for new business intelligence solutions.

Business Intelligence team in DNV GL has started in exploring new big data technical stack, we would need a senior big data developer to join the journey of utilizing big data technology to improve company’s capability of insights and building new business stream in digitalization.

Job description
- Participant in global big data tasks and projects
- Collaborate with different business stakeholders to understand the requirements
- Collaborate with design, hardware, and infrastructure engineers in the design, development and utilization of productivity enhancement tools
- Support Head of Section to build up internal capacity of operating and delivering big data platform and projects
- Team player in the shanghai business intelligence team to enhance offshore project delivery capacity

Qualifications
- University degree (Bachelor-degree or equivalent/higher)
- 3+ years working experience related to big data stack, like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Storm, Kafka
- Good knowledge about server hardware and system architecture
- Experiences in Linux shell script, knows how to configure and tune open source software
- Experiences in OO programing, like Java, Python or Scala
- Experiences in Machine Learning algorithm and use R, Python to implement is a plus
- Experiences in JavaScript and web development is a plus
- Interested in data analysis and passionate in cutting edge technology
- Flexible working time to corporate with colleagues in Europe time zone
- Working experience in a global team or international company is a plus
