Job Description

- Conduct research and pre-development of electric drive control system for electrified vehicles
- Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development
- Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products
-？Execute technology scouting in China/Asia covering both academia and industry in China/Asia for preparing strategic decisions
-？Main responsibility includes

1. Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
2. Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation
3. Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
4. Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Qualifications

1. PhD degree in discipline of motor control, control engineering or electric drives
2. Expert knowledge in control strategy of induction motor, PMSM or BLDC, PWM modulation method, sensorless control algorithms, torque ripple attenuation, multi-phase motor control algorithms.
3. Good knowledge and practical experiences in power converter/inverter software design, motor modeling and simulation, rapid control prototyping and test validation, simulation and development tools e.g. Matlab, Simulink, dSPACE, C language, development process based on AUTOSAR, and microcontrollers such as TI, Infineon chips
4. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), speaking German is a plus
5. Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverter, electric motor, gearbox, as well as fuel cell system are preferred
6. International education and experiences is a plus
7. Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
8. Passionate for innovation; filed patents on qualified content during PhD or prior work is a benefit
9. Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
