Nature and Purpose:
The Digital Marketing & Web Trading Specialist is responsible for managing digital marketing channels and trading for the purpose of growing customer and web sales performance of their nominated territory across Premier Farnell’s network of transactional websites. This spans both the overall optimisation of the website performance driven through analysis, A/B testing, merchandising, propositional optimisation - covering price & availability, supporting digital channels in optimisation, front-end & agile development and faults identification & resolution. The role works closely with wider digital marketing channel owners, digital development and UX/UI teams, as well as regional sales and marketing organisations to ensure that business proposition is optimised on the web to drive overall ecommerce penetration and incremental sales performance.
Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:
For assigned territory, lead web trading program (including A/B testing, merchandising and proposition optimization) to achieve customer growth and web sales per day performance in accordance with overall business strategy.
For assigned territory, lead A/B testing activities and front end development priorities working closely with digital development teams to ensure a clear road map is in place, and best-practices are implemented appropriately
For assigned territory, liaise with product teams to provide clear recommendations and input into pricing and availability changes for improving the sales and margin performance.
For assigned territory, work with digital acquisition channels (such as SEO, PPC and other digital marketing channels) to ensure activity is optimised to achieving customer, sales and margin performance and overall trading objectives of the transactional sites.
For assigned territory, liaise with regional marketing teams to ensure localised marketing and proposition programs are supported through trading on the transactional websites.
For assigned territory, work with web analytics function to ensure clear trading recommendations are identified and implemented accordingly.
Required:
At least 3 to 4 years experience as an ecommerce / digital trader / digital marketer
Fluent in English.
Working knowledge of digital acquisition channels (such as SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, affiliate and other digital marketing channels).
Demonstrable knowledge of latest ecommerce trading, onsite marketing, online merchandising and usability.
Proven ability to deliver results in a complex multi-channel marketing environment.
Experience in use and management of Omniture and multi-channel attribution platforms.
Experience in leading and delivering A/B testing and merchandising programs
Expertise in dealing with 3rd party vendors across media platforms.
Highly organised, commercial, numerate, analytical and multi tasking, deadline driven abilities.
Excellent communicator at all levels
Strong commercial acumen with significant experience of budget setting and management.
Highly organised with significant experience of team leadership across multiple countries and cultures.
A self-starter and goal-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
