Position Responsibilities:
- Acquire all goods and services in accordance with specific quality requirements in the correct quantities in a timely manner supported by a high level of after-market service at a competitive price.
- Build strong relationships with the supply base in China and develop new find new sources of raw material within China.
- Assist in the negotiation and preparation of formal supply agreements for purchased raw materials which satisfy all quality requirements and are competitively priced while minimizing Diamond Innovations exposure to risk.
- Ensure sourcing policies and procedures as well as ethical sourcing guidelines are within compliance including support of supplier audits.
- Participate with Diamond Innovations team to formulate and execute strategies to maximize cost savings; lead in the evaluation of supplier reliability, and maintenance of service quality.
- Be a source of China market intelligence to the Diamond Innovations' business
- Develop and monitor the performance of a competent, ethical and financially viable vendor base and to correct deficiencies that may occur.
- Solicit competitive bids in a confidential and ethical manner and to participate in the evaluation process and subsequent vendor selection decision.
- Drive lean practices throughout the supply chain with a focus on reducing lead times.

Requirements:
- University degree in business, supply chain logistics, chemistry, engineering or other field.
- Minimum 3 years of job related purchasing experience.
- Fluency in English - both verbal and written
- Ability to travel as required.
