Main responsibilities
Sr. engineer, SQM has the supporting responsibility for the VCC SQM to deliver in accordance with Polestar priorities, targets and business plan. Support with SQM resources, skills and competences in cross-functional work assigned and agreed within Polestar and Volvo.

1. Business structure linkage – Process/ Part of organisation
1.1 The Sr. Engineer, focuses on the SQM job of unique parts of Polestar, including but not limited to
CFRP, HV battery, solar roof, absorber and etc.
1.2 The Sr. Engineer, SQM role is the Polestar link to VCC SQM. The role interacts closely with both
the VCC site SQM and Program SQM and also Polestar Purchasing organization.
1.3 The Sr. Engineer, is willing and flexible to take different tasks assigned by the SQM manager to
support Polestar business needs.

2. Purpose
The purpose of the role is to secure the supplier manufacturing capability and capacity.
The Sr. SQM Engineer has in the past successfully managed a wide supplier base.

3. Main Tasks
? Co-work with VCC SQM for the technical recommendation in the sourcing and supplier selection process and in continuous improvement work.
? Co-work with VCC SQM for the project management, via APQP.
? Co-work with VCC SQM for the problem solving and support 'task-force teams' when applicable.
? Co-work and support VCC SQM for the tier 1 and directed tier 2 management.
? Escalate the suppliers with high risk to both Polestar and VCC for caution and needed support.
? Maintain and work according to new quality tools.
? Develop and deploy best practices within the area of SQM through benchmarking and supplier development.
? Coach suppliers with VCC SQM in manufacturing development activities for complex suppliers.
? Together with VCC, manage cross commodity responsibilities in targeted areas for Polestar projects.
? Polestar SQM representative in development of new processes and methods.

Required qualifications
? Minimum BSc or MSc degree
? High level of theoretical knowledge within the responsible area
? > 5 years’ experience within the job relevant area.
? High level of communication skills and presentation techniques.
? Experience of leading and development of teams.
? High level of SQM skills.
