When you Join Team Caterpillar a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to take advantage of your analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly and accurately identify solutions critical to supplier quality. By addressing these challenges, you’ll impact key quality goals, including:

· Product Production,

· Pre-Service or V.E.H.R (0 Hour),

· Warranty accuracy,

· cost savings, and

· process quality.

Further, you will be using manay site based systems and communicating with suppliers on corrective action details to ensure that the customer is totally confident in Containment and Final Corrective Action Plans. You will also be responsible for maintaining accountability with suppliers to establish containment plans related to quality discrepancies. You will ensure the supplier is developing corrective action plans to enable operations to continue with minimum disruption.

To do this job effectively you must maintain close working relationships with product engineering groups, production managers and personnel, suppliers, quality groups, logistics and material planning groups, purchasing groups and supplier development engineers.

Required Qualifications:

· The position requires an engineering or manufacturing background plus familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for Caterpillar Products.

· Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures is required.

· Bachelor’s degree – or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering.

· A minimum two years of job-related experience or the equivalent education is required.

· Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative working relationship with others inside and outside of Caterpillar.

· Solid ability to use and demonstrate statistical and problem solving tools is required.

Desired Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Minimum 3-5 years of job-related experience
