Job Title: Lead Customer Engineer (Base on Shanghai SGM)

Basic Requirements
1) 4 Year college degree, preferably in a technical field
2) 5 Years automotive experience, preferably with Product Delivery and Launch experience
3) Experience and knowledge SRG Global’s portfolio of industry leading products, component design, development and manufacture
4) OEM experience and operating knowledge a plus, particular knowledge of customer’s operating systems (WERS, AIMS, eFDVS,…………)
5) Knowledge and experience with customer’s PD process and program nomenclature
6) Speak and write fluently English and Chinese.

General Activities
1) The purpose of this position is to add experienced and capable engineering resource to support SRG Global growth opportunities on site at specific strategic customers, promoting SRG Global’s technical value proposition, value to our customer and society and delivering a robust plan for long term sustainable growth.

2) This position will report directly to SRG Global Product and Development Manager Europe but will also provide support and representation to SRG Global Sales and Program Management. The role will be located at the customer’s PD facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following daily activities:

a) Provide on-site engineering support for each SRG Global division at the customer
b) Promote at Customer Engineering Department the SRG Global value proposition and seek ways in which they can promote our products, value and technical sell capabilities
c) Get direct access to Customer Engineering and Design Studio to get the best knowledge of and influence the customer’s engineering strategy and how this impacts SRG Global’s future opportunities
d) Get access to customer Design Studio in order to advance and influence customer design strategy
e) Promote SRG Global and Best in Class supplier at the Customer Engineering Department
f) Support pre-sourcing Technical Review at customer together with Divisional Engineers and KAMs
g) Continue supporting the programs after SRG nomination in order to secure the hand over to the divisional engineers and project team
h) Attend and provide direction and support at customer Design Reviews and Development Meetings
i) Support customer Engineering team at weekly System Engineering meetings
j) Assist Divisional Engineers with timing plans, engineering releases, issue management and on line containment plans
k) Support build phases at customer’s assembly plants, attend start up meetings and manage locally build issues and quality
l) Provide additional resource to management of DVP and eFDVS reporting
m) Act as SRG Global guardian for PSW management
n) Produce and maintain commodity based open issues decks, factory metrics and issue weekly to senior management
o) Provide single point contact to Program based customer Engineers
p) Support Program Management to assure successful completion of all program deliverables and timing commitments, such as:
i. Gathering all pertinent documentation from the customer regarding the part and the program. Obtain first hand communication.
ii. Help coordinating the management of the initial samples and/or prototypes.
iii. Replace, when there is an urgency, the other program team members.
iv. Follow up the different customer departments and be persistent to collect all information needed from them.
v. Possibility of immediate analysis of problems over the real affected parts before and during the car builds.
vi. Attendance to the validation of technical proposals / solutions or any fine tuning presentation.
vii. Improvement of the communication with the customer.
