Describe Scope Factors

HES Specialist, Environmental will work within the CDB HES Operations team to support sour gas field operations in the Chuandongbei block (Chuandongbei Block includes the Tieshanpo, Dukouhe, Qilibei, Gunziping and Luojiazhai natural gas fields) that include: 53 well site locations covering nearly 2,000 square km, gathering systems handling up to 740 MMSCFD, and two H₂S Gas Purification and Sulfur Processing Plants.

Job Responsibilities

Field Support

Provides day to day support to CDB field customers on HES Environmental related matters. Ensures that CDB Field Operations and MCP are working within the parameters defined within CDB Operational Excellence Instructions (OEI) and champions OE/HES initiatives and behaviors. Actively engages with a cross section of Field personnel (Management / Supervisors / Workers) to increase HES environmental fluency and provide coaching and support. Specific activities to support the above expectations include, but are not limited to:

* Routine visits to field work sites

* Active participation in environmental related audits

* Recommends appropriate corrective actions

* Maintains contact with government, regulatory and contractual environmental agencies

* Supports community inquiries with local neighbors, government and regulatory officials on pertinent issues

* Preparation and delivery of presentations / training

OE Process Implementation and Field Execution

In addition to an overall role supporting OE/HES, HES Specialist, Environmental has specific roles for the following high priority OE environmental processes:

* Metric Tracking Identifies trends, environmental project status and other relevant parameters. Provides field guidance on OE reporting requirements.

* Environmental Training/Coaching - Functions as resource for CDB OEI field competency on, but not limited to, Waste Management, MSDS, regulations and other CDB and governmental requirements.

Professional Development

Performs various assignments as designated by Lead HES Specialist, Environmental for the dual purpose of meeting business needs and individual competency development. Maintains computer skills (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) to a level that supports job requirement needs for developing quality reports, presentations, and analysis of data.

Requirements

* Bachelor degree or above.

* Fluent English speaking and writing skills are required.

* Computer Skills required (word, excel, PPT)

* Work locations may vary between multiple sites in different geographic locations that are situated in remote mountainous regions with logistical challenges.

* Strong presentation skills required with the ability to interface effectively with CDB HES Operations/MCP customers, contractors, community, government and regulatory officials.
