RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services in the center including supervising, directing and managing employees of rehabilitation department. .
2. Provides direct Patient care as appropriate and assigned in site of service.
3. Ensures all rehabilitation practices are evidence based and adhere to the highest quality care delivery standards.
4. Ensures complete and comprehensive assessments and treatment plans including utilization of appropriate tests and measures, interpretation of examination findings to identify impairments and establish goals, determination of the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it, and identification of precautions/contraindications to ensure Patient safety.
5. Identifies areas of opportunity for employee clinical growth, professional growth, performance improvement and customer service excellence through consistent oversight and management.
6. Anayzes monthly department and individual therapist Patient outcomes and supports employees in identifying strategies to improve outcomes as needed.
7. Leads rehabilitation team in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet the needs of the Patient.
8. Assumes responsibility for employee management including hiring, performance improvement, annual merit evaluation, and termination per center policies.
9. Develops and supports all employees through rounding, coaching and mentoring.
10. Assumes responsibility for center reports on a weekly and monthly basis and formally reviews information with center administration.
11. Assists with annual budget preparation and responsible for meeting budget goals as established including administering financial controls of revenue and expenses.
12. Assists with orientation of new employees.
13. Ensures the delivery of the highest standard of rehabilitation services through appropriate utilization of resources and staffing, the promotion of clinical programs, and employee development in collaboration with center and regional leadership team.
14. Promotes all GRS Health Services products and services.
15. Ensures effective clinical management of rehabilitation services, including oversight related to case management, quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization, and Patient identification.
16. Enhances professional practice by attending all mandated training and outside professional education programs.
17. Contributes to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the concerns of Patients, employees and families.
18. Promotes a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment.
19. Maintains confidentiality and protects Protected Health Information at all times.
20. Ensures compliance with company policies, standards and processes, and local and central government regulations.
21. Places Patient Service First: Ensures that Patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a friendly, caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the Patients individual needs, goals and desires.
22. Performs other related duties as requested.
23. Upholds the GRS Health Services Promises:
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. The Director of Rehab possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a rehabilitation discipline.
2. He/she must be able to practice in the Province and district of the People’s Republic of China.
3. He/she must also have a minimum of three years direct patient care experience and one year of managerial and administrative experience.
JOB SKILLS:
1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Mandarin and English.
2. Must have strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
3. Must be able to work proficiently in a fast paced, health care environment.
4. Must possess the ability to positively interact with others, including Patients, families, employees, visitors, government agency personnel, and the general public.
5. Must market the center, company, community, and its services to all Patients, visitors, vendors, referral sources, and fellow employees.
6. Must be a highly responsible individual capable of working independently.
7. Must be empathetic and adept in dealing with individuals of all ages and families.
8. Must be knowledgeable of rehabilitation practice standards.
9. Must be knowledgeable about navigating the regulatory environment as it relates to both local and central government.
10. Must be able to motivate others and to provide leadership to achieve center and company goals.
11. Must be able to recognize and practice high-quality hospitality, professionalism and customer service to create a customer centered environment.
12. Must have basic knowledge of computer systems.
13. Must carry out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention and/or participation may be required.
