Mission of Function
The Test Engineer is responsible for design the test system and perform the test system test according to product requirement, features and standards from customer point of view, implement development tasks assigned to them independently in the desired quality before the agreed deadline and ensureing product qualities by planning, preparing, realizing, and documentation of the work package assigned to him/her..

Contacts (internal / external)
External: project members outside of EWC (e.g. Nürnberg, Amberg, Fürth, Karlsruhe,
Beijing, Johnson City, Bangalore)
Contact with external laboratories for doing the tests. Internal: project members of other department / division in EWC

Task
- Plan and estimate the cost of test system and test tasks assigned for own work. Realize
the test system and own test tasks in a suitable way with balance of cost and quality,
continues improvement for better solution.;
- Team work with colleagues in a department and with team members in a project.;
- Independend execution of the tasks assigned to him/her, think from customer point of
view to judge the test result and make sure the quality of product to be released;
- Understand the related standards and product knowledge used in test, be responsible
for the quality of own work, report the work status and problems to line manager and
sub-/project manager on time;
- Working according to PLM process, 17025 requirement and company regulation.
Adherence to internal regulations and working laws (operational safety, working hours,
information security);
- Contribution to the process improvement projects (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001,
OHSAS18001, CMMI, People CMM, CIP)
Active involvement in training activities and self training where necessary

Knowledge
- Application know-how (PLC and HMI application, Industrial PC or PC application know-
how);
- Tools related to test management system, Bug tracking tools (e.g. ARTS+);
- Lab management, Test equipment / tool usage, PLM process
- English.

Experience
- 1~2 years on application know-how test know-how on related products;
- Customer support or development experiences is preferred;
- Preferred to have experience in MNC;
