Position Description:
Senior Application Engineer for Automotive
Summary of position: -Customer facing technical support pillar for automotive products
-To influence design in activities in Key accounts -Application engineer development role for reference platform
Duties:
Key Tasks:
-Local apps engineering role with the responsibility of managing and resolving all technical issues from key automotive accounts, local FAEs
-To develop automotive reference platform hardware and software covering application, driver and communication protocol layer software with Atmel global automotive application team
-Develop knowledge and expertise in automotive software (application + lower layer software) focusing on Body Control Module, Car Access + Immobilizer protocol and microcontroller related application such as switch, communication, touch controller (screen, button, wheel, slider) applications
-Contribute and managing technical requirements funnel for future automotive products development (fit for APAC customers) ; technical marketing role -Facilitate+assist technical training for local FAEs, local distribution FAEs and sales team focusing on new product launch and other related automotive solution
-Develop & maintain thorough knowledge of Atmel automotive products, their application and competitor positioning -Implement localized documentation: apps documentation in local language
Position/Skill Requirements
Degree in Electronics, Physics or closely related field
Language qualification (good command of written English)
Must have 3+ years relevant applications+customer facing experience, Automotive RF experience in hardware and software a plus
Experience with MCU based applications
Familiarity with automotive design tools, design cycle, decision making process a plus
Self starter with no problem with travelling locally + overseas

Preferred Skills:
Fluent In English, Mandarin
Automotive electronics engineering experience
Good Presentations skill
Good communicator Skill sets to identify opportunities, create opportunities & propose ideas Customer facing experience
Education:
Education Degree in Engineering / Science
Mm. years of experience required:
3+ Years technical experience
