职位描述
1. Summary of major responsibilities and activities:
Assist the company in maintaining robust, reliable, efficient and flexible telecommunication and computer-based systems
Assist in carrying out practical, tested contingency plans covering unexpected business interruptions.
To meet, in good time, the company's statutory obligations for our systems such as licensing and the Data Protection Act.
To ensure the company's IT and telecommunications assets are identifiable and reasonably safeguarded at all times.
To keep systems down time to a minimum and all systems running to the standard appropriate for each user.
To actively promote the optimum use of IT and telecommunications capability by users to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
2. Specific responsibilities
To keep the IT hardware list up to date
To keep the IT Software list up to date
To keep the IT licence list up to date
To keep the server room tidy and safe
To check leads, connections and all IT equipment to ensure that they are in safe working order
To liaise with Finance department to ensure that the fixed asset list is kept up to date with the correct information. Help them to match invoices to actual physical purchases.
To train staff on correct use of programs and systems
To monitor the use of the computers to make sure that staff are complying with the IT Policy and there is no misuse of the system.
To monitor the back-up process and ensure it is operating satisfactorarily
To conduct interim testing of the back-up systems to ensure data can be successfully retrieved.
To offer IT support to remote workers or site/branch offices. This may involve occasional site visits
To assist in minimizing expenses incurred and keeping within the specified IT budget.
College Degree or above in computer science or relevant fields.
2+ years experience in IT administration.
Good communication skills in both oral and written in English.
