Job Responsibility:

1. Month end closing

a. Support the business analyst to organize the monthly end closing with warehouse and shared services.

- Work with warehouse cut off timing of goods received and material issuance.

- Cooperate with shared services and confirm the 3-way match in SAP.

- Reconcile the GL and cardex before closing the material book.

b. Work closely with production engineering and R&D to analyse BOM material change variance based on each work entry before providing actual and forecast material variance reports.

c. Work closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to analyze material price variance (including freight,duty,etc), actual versus standard and comparisons with the same period in the previous year together with forecast before submitting the purchase price variance report

d. Participate in the warehouse cycle count and support supply chain to analyze the reasons for changes in the inventory value in the finance book.

e. Work with purchasing and supply chain to prepare the material and inventory rolling forecast.

f. Analyze and prepare inventory reports and provide working capital movement analysis.

2. Day to day operation

a. Update and monitor material price changes to ensure data accuracy in SAP

b. Track and explain the purchase price index (PPI).

c. Support the business analyst from a financial perspective to drive material cost reduction

- Provide the purchasing team with support in supplier finance background surveys and material quotation analysis.

- Participate in major engineering change activities; provide financial support to the project and purchasing teams.

d. Provide accurate and timely material cost updates in all projects including investment request (ePW) preparation and project follow up.

e. Provide supplier credit evaluations based on purchasing and logistic team input

f. Supervise inventory and costing related accounts, ensure data integrity with the object account balance, region, group and division reports.

g. Provide prompt feedback on direct material cost enquiries such as price trend and latest product costs.

h. Participate in plant stock takes on a regular basis. Review inventory adjustment application forms submitted by supply chain, analyze and provide feedback on reasons for variance.

3. Forecast and Annual budget

Based on the production volume,

a. Review the BOMs with engineering and R&D departments to ensure they are aligned with the sales and production plans.

b. Together with purchasing and logistics to challenge the material price, freight cost and review the localization rate.

c. Set up the price index for the coming 3 years and ensure the data is loaded correctly in SAP

d. Set up the inventory turnover and working capital targets.

Position Requirement:

Preferred Career Experience:

- At least 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing material costing and work centre ERP systems knowledge.
- Additional work experience in Production planning / purchasing or R&D function is a plus.

Soft Competencies :

1. Understanding of different costing models is essential.

2. Familiar with accounting processes, procedures and internal controls, particularly with supply chain related processes.

3. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

4. Motivation and a proven ability to meet financial deadlines.

5. Willingness to drive & improve

Other Requirements:

1. IFRS knowledge is plus
2. Fluency communication in English - both written and oral is must
3. Fluency in Excel and power point.

Automobile industrial or home appliance manufacturing company experience is desirable
