As Kunming is known as China’s gateway to South and Southeast Asia, Xploreo has chosen Kunming as a location for its Asia-Pacific office due to the wide-ranging language skills of its people, particularly the many international students from around the region. Languages of particular value are South and Southeast Asian languages (Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodia, Malay-Indonesian, Hindi, Nepali) as well as English and Japanese.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The position would center on developing and managing study and volunteer abroad programs across the Asia-Pacific region and building institutional relations with our working partners. While the position is based in Kunming, Xploreo’s programs are not limited to the city nor to China but rather take place primarily in major tourism and study abroad destination countries in entire Asia-Pacific (including but not limited to Japan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, India , Nepal, New Zealand, Australia)

The responsibilities of the THAI LANGUAGE or LAOTIAN LANGUAGE OR DAI LANGUAGE CONTENT WRITER AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGER would include a variety of activities such as contacting potential service providers including language tutors, non-profit organizations, and host families all primarily in Thailand. The THAI LANGUAGE or LAOTIAN LANGUAGE OR DAI LANGUAGE CONTENT WRITER AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGER will serve as a liaison between partners in Southeast Asia and our clients/students who are based abroad (primarily in the US and Europe). Additionally, the candidate will also be responsible for contacting students and young travelers inquiring about our programs either by phone or email on a day to day basis.

Beyond these responsibilities, the THAI LANGUAGE or LAOTIAN LANGUAGE OR DAI LANGUAGE CONTENT WRITER AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGER will also develop Thai language content for our website, printed materials and other marketing tools. This process will be guided and managed by our international marketing manager.

Salary and benefits will be discussed after the interview, but before we issue an offer letter. Some of the benefits of working for Xploreo are: five insurances, a two-day weekend, performance based rewards, an annual bonus (one extra month salary), and flexible working hours-- employees can begin work at 9 or 10 am, or even later.
