Job Title: Linux admin
Location: Shanghai
Role and Responsibility:
?Install/Maintain/Support Red Hat Linux based servers
?Provide deep level 2/3 expertise in problem resolution
?Participate in global teams, developing and implementing technical standards and providing follow-the-sun support
?Work with group architecture teams to establish and fulfil necessary enhancements in developing a reliable high performance Linux platforms
?Ensure highest levels of ownership, accountability and service are maintained within the team
?Mentor and train less experienced staff to help them develop their linux / unix skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
2+ years experience of Linux/Unix systems administration.
Demonstrable scripting/programming and debugging skills in at least perl and Linux shells.
Ability to quickly understand technical issues, investigate and troubleshoot problems in detail to find and correct the root cause.
Effective communication skills to support local internal customers and to form effective working relationships within a global IT organization.
Proven ability to learn, and a desire to develop both technically and within teams, and to help less experienced staff to improve their skills.
Either a degree in a computing or IT-related subject, or some evidence of putting learning to the test, for example RHCE or Solaris administrator qualifications.
Experience of working with some or all of the following: Solaris, Redhat Linux, VMware virtliazation, Veritas Netbackup, LDAP, TCP/IP networking, electronic design automation (EDA) tools, SAN storage, LSF or other grid computing systems.

?High energy level and be able to effectively work with various cross functional teams.
?Excellent oral and written English and Mandarin language skill
