Analyst II Security
The analyst will collect and analyze market research information from a variety of sources and produce syndicated and custom market research reports to enable informed customer/client decision making. The analyst will hold responsibility for report scoping, research, report productions, marketing and sales; with specialization in the Security industry.
Specific Job Duties:
Support the research activities of the IHS Technology Security team.
Build and regularly interview a global network of key industry contacts
Keep up to date on, interpret and analyze, key policy changes within the Security space.
Write detailed market reports on the global market for Security.
Present at major industry events on IHS research and findings.
Produce press and marketing material to promote IHS products.
Respond to client questions and queries.
Regularly meet with key industry personnel to drive business development with suppliers of lighting solutions and support account managers to grow Security research.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, engineering or industry-related fields required; Master’s or higher degree is a plus
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical and commercial experience in the Security industry, with a primary focus on Lighting a plus.
Fluent in English with effective verbal and written communication of English language skills including familiarity with business language.
Highly effective organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to stay on task and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to professionally counsel and consult with clients.
Ability and willingness to speak at conferences, events, and in media interviews.
Self-motivation and natural curiosity are essential.
Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with databases helpful.
Travel:
This position will require some domestic and international travel. Some travel may also occur outside of normal working hours.
