General Summary
Responsible for growing satisfied client relationships, a profitable book of business and acquiring new clients and opportunities.

Essential Functions
Sales and Relationship Development
?Retain and expand existing client relationships and acquire new ones
?Identify key decision makers, clients or prospects risks needs and determines the services, products, and combinations that will best serve and address the client/prospect’s issues and objectives
?Develop custom solutions to address the client/prospect needs
?Ensure that the full scope of services are priced appropriately
?Effectively present the solutions to the client/prospect and negotiate compensation
?Document the scope of service and compensation in a Client Service Agreement (CSA)

Financial Management
?Manage the financial performance of his/her book of business
?Develop a business plan for portfolio of clients and prospect to meet specific retention and sales goals
?Create a budget for each client in conjunction with client advisors and consulting colleagues
?Manage revenue, profitability, and timely billing and collection (working capital) for each client
?Expand new business and opportunities

Service Management
?Assure service meets or exceeds client expectations, and protecting the firm from Errors & Omissions (E&O)
?Ensure quality of deliverables and enforce critical deadlines
?Seek feedback on Marsh’s execution of projects and renewal through client survey and ongoing client dialogue

Others
?Provide advice in regard to insurance product, insurance market, account management and servicing skills to other team member
?Assist Practice Leader to work with other team member to develop, retain and expand business
?Assist Practice Leader to achieve team’s financial budget
?Complete other tasks assigned by Practice leader

Scope
The distinction among the three grade levels for full-time client executives is based on years of experience, performance and Trusted Business Advisor status with clients
Performance criteria include:
Financials: growth, retention and profitability
Client Satisfaction: client retention, client loyalty, level and quality of relationships
Efficient Business Process: Service Excellence and Professional Standards, as well as use of Marsh Best Practices and Tools
Colleague Development: Leadership both externally and internally, coaching, industry specialization, learning
At least five years of professional experience
Under limited supervision, services least complex accounts
Possess developed insurance brokerage, account management and servicing skills and performs client executive duties within the local market place
May assist higher-level client executives on larger accounts

Miscellaneous
Develop a Major/Minor in Industry
Understand business environment and know how to read/interpret financial statements
Questioning & Listening – Know how dialogue with prospects and clients
Leading Teams
Managing projects
Communications - Influencing, negotiating, presenting effectively, etc.
Relationship Management – Customer focus, building rapport, dealing with conflict, etc.
Strategic & Financial reasoning
