Job Purpose:
Be an Ambassador for Universal and the Companies SITE values. Act as the Company’s representative, coordinating aircraft ground handling in China and local region as required. Assist customers by meeting aircraft on tarmac, CIQ/Immigration formalities, coordinating crew to unloading area and aircraft to assign locations. In addition, Supervisor Operations assist customers/Crew by preparing aircraft for flight and supervising associated ramp activities to ensure highest of servicing standards and compliance.
Responsibilities and Associated Duties:
1. Receive and accurately coordinate TSS/Direct client handling requests via email.
2. Disseminate handling requests and arrange all necessary handling requirements and respond to information requests to facilitate operations to China such as permits, local regulation, airport information, visas etc.
3. Meet passengers upon arrival, escort through Customs/Immigration formalities
4. Assist crews with entry requirements
5. Arrange services such as catering, toilets services, refuelling, transport and hotel accommodation
6. Assist with baggage handling
7. When required assist aircrew to obtain weather briefing, file ATC and handle flight documentation for departing aircrew
8. Carry all aircraft arrival and departure paperwork to complete trip arrangements
9. Coordinate full aircraft ground handling service
10. Interact with the handling companies and airports’ authorities in order to organize the best possible servicing of Company’s customers
11. Oversee third party handling or aircraft to ensure all compliance and safety measures are always maintained
12. Must be able travel in-country on a regular basis – up to 10% may be required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
1. Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
2. 1 year experience in similar Aviation role preferred.
3. Should posses a valid Driver License.
4. Proficient in MS Office (Excel/ Word) Basic Level.
5. Good written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
6. English fluency verbal and written a plus.
7. Significant internal and external customer contact.
8. Requires standing and walking on concrete/asphalt surface.
9. Able to communicate and work in high stress environments and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
10. Exhibit positive teamwork attributes; loyalty to the Company and fellow employees, a polished and professional appearance, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to embrace change with a positive attitude.
11. Inside and outside work with changing temperatures and conditions.
12. Must be able travel in-country on a regular basis – up to 10% may be required

In 1959, Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. founder Tom Evans was providing something that no one else in the world had thought of before. He was creating weather forecasts not for commercial aviation, but for business aviation as a time-saving convenience. This increased traffic created a need for us to build actual physical facilities for ground handling and maintenance.
Over the years, we continued to open more locations, and, in doing so, a model gradually developed for worldwide quality and consistency, including staffing all our locations with trained, uniformed, English-speaking agents.
Then, in the late 1990s, we organized the various Universal? ground handling offices into a global network. Now, clients could plan their missions worldwide, not just location to location. Whether they were negotiating a deal, attending a business meeting, transporting a human organ or any other vital mission, there was no need to risk success on the capabilities of a third party.
