Department:
The RBM is a pivotal role in JLR to improve dealer performance and JLR sales
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
1.Leads a focus on customer loyalty and advocacy
Works with Retailer managers to actively develop a customer-focused culture, which delivers high levels of customer loyalty and advocacy (e.g. NPS, red flags, CRC open cases, mystery shopping, sales process). Champions the Retailer into the NSC.
2.Manages performance
Consults and manages setting, agreement and implementation of dealer targets (retails, market share, sales funnel metrics, wholesales, payments, order call, product mix, stock, demos, dealer profitability), business plans, marketing activities, commercial policies (VDM, VME) and dealer scorecard. Proactively delivers corrective action plans and tracks their performance striving for continuous improvement.
3.Manages vehicle supply to the Retailer
Liaises with order control manager to support the Retailer.
4.Monitors performance against JLR Franchise Standards
Monitors with checklists (RBM toolbox/visit report, global standards audit gap checklist, capacity and capability planning). Coaches Retailer and proactively delivers corrective action plans and tracks their performance striving for continuous improvement.
5.Supports the implementation of JLR initiatives and programmes by the Retailer
Communicates and supports Retailers to implement key JLR business initiatives (e.g.: Retailer Solution Book, Used Car Approved Programme, Accessory Programme).
6.Drives a focus on continuous improvement
Works with sales teams, using best practices tools. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements and delivers mutually agreed action plan.
7.Supports the Retailer to develop new sales business
Works with Retailer to ensure JLR sales marketing activity (regional retailer marketing plan, dealer marketing plan) is successfully implemented by the Retailer. Coaches and supports Retailer to implement new approaches to marketing/CRM. Coaches Retailer to implement new business opportunities (fleet, UV, etc.).
8.Supports medium term business planning
Develops mutually agreed business plan with Retailer.
9.Team working
Acts as an ambassador for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands; role models the JLR Way in all aspects of the role.
Works with other JLR Regional Managers (e.g. Regional CS Managers, Regional Marketing team and Network team) to deliver a ‘joined up’ approach to Retailers and optimize the performance of the Region. Maintains positive and influential relationships with internal teams.
Represents JLR at events of the assigned dealerships.
10.Market intelligence and reporting
Research local market/competitor information. Delivers reporting in the defined and agreed formats and times. Uses ABM toolbox.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
1. Experience of more than 3 years in automotive business, premium brand preferred
2. Knowledge of retail business
3. Team spirit, interpersonal skills, self motivation and motivation of others, leadership abilities towards the dealer and their teams
4. Understanding automotive, understanding JLR brand and technologies, understanding customer preferences and behaviour
5. Diploma of university , business management or equivalent
6. Perfect Mandarin, local language ability preferred and sufficient English
7. MS office and JLR IT tools (Vista etc.) plus standard communication tools (mobile, PC, tablet)
