Role Summary
As a Manager you will join the fastest growing team within CWT APAC, and deliver high quality sourcing and optimization consultancy services to some of our largest clients globally and regionally. This will require the ability to deeply understand the your client needs across those in your portfolio while leading our proposed scope of work with the client to optimize their business travel category spend, which may be hundreds of millions of dollars in total. You will bring credibility and trust to the client as you advise them on how to execute changes you propose, while leading a team of highly engaged staff, and collaborate with internal colleagues to adapt our offerings in our key markets, and all the time self-learning to remain at the cutting edge of travel management thinking. This role is perfect for a dynamic self starter who seeks to become a deep subject matter expert in corporate travel, who is comfortable with analytics, change management within organizations, and leading thinking in the travel category and who wants to build their career with one of the worlds largest travel management organisations globally.
Main responsibilities & duties
Delivery of optimization of engagements to client
? Oversee a portfolio of clients and associated engagements. Ensure clear understanding of scope of work, timeline and deliverable, client expectation, all aspects of client communication. Lead any consultants or analysts associated with these engagements, balancing client needs with capacity boundaries and parallel projects. Adopt an outcome driven approach to projects, ensuring client satisfaction is high, with high levels of repeat and continued business partnerships with clients.
Delivery of air and hotel sourcing engagements
? You will naturally have a strong background in either the airline or hotel industry and analytics which will enable you to deliver engagements yourself, or through your team.
? Oversee and deliver air, hotel and optimization engagements for the region
? Act as key internal stakeholder and point of contact for matters relating to the clients within your portfolio
? Help the consultants and analysts to develop and successfully manage the clients’ Air or Hotel programs (data collection, analysis, strategic sourcing, Air selection, and implementation of tools, processes, web interfaces and ongoing management)
? Present recommendations and findings to clients through formal presentations
? Provide recommendations on client & project management to the project leaders when necessary
? Ensure profitability of each client through measuring efficient delivery
? Maintain strong client satisfaction scores, enabling re-signatures and increased business
? Meet all aspects of the client requirements, in particular defining and meeting savings targets and goals
Job requirements:
? English: fluent written and oral.
? Mandarin : Fluent written and oral. Other languages a distinct advantage e.g. Korean, Japanese.
? Abilities to deal within a multicultural environment
Presentation skills
? Excellent written and oral communications skills
Computer knowledge
? Word, Excel, PowerPoint
? Ability and interest to deal and analyze figures and to translate them into a clear message
? Ability to interact with all levels of management across international borders
? Excellent time management skills – including ability to set priorities and work in a fast paced, multi-project environment
? As necessary regular international travel will be required
Education/Experience
Education
? Graduate from college/university in business, finance or engineering (degree level capability)
Experience
? 5 years or more experience in client facing commercial roles within business travel management
? 2 years or more of people leadership experience, understanding concepts of team development, engagement, training and driving results through others
Background in either (experience in each is an advantage):
? airline or hotel industry within analytical roles, particularly revenue optimization; or travel management company in a consultative role advising clients on best corporate procurement practice; or corporate travel procurement in Asia-Pacific, with experience of airline and hotel RFP negotiations, corporate payments and driving change management; or
? Working for a leading consultancy firm in Asia-Pacific, specialising in corporate procurement practices
